Privacy policy
DVC Drop is a place to look at rental listings. There is no account to create and nothing to pay for, so there is very little about you for us to hold.
The short version
We do not ask for your name, your email address or any payment details. We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising trackers. When you click through to a rental provider you leave our site, and what happens there is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.
What we collect
Information you give us
None at present. Email alerts are not yet available, so there is no form on this site that collects personal information. When alerts launch we will collect an email address and your search preferences, and this policy will be updated before that happens.
Information collected automatically
Our host, Vercel, processes standard server request data in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. That includes your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser and device type. These are ordinary web server logs, retained by our host on our behalf for a limited period.
We use privacy-preserving analytics that count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you across sites. Because no cookies are set for analytics, you will not see a cookie banner here.
What we do not do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
- No selling or renting of personal information
- No accounts, passwords or stored payment details
- No collection of information from children
Links to rental providers
Every listing on this site is held by a third-party rental provider. Following a link takes you to their website, where their terms and privacy policy apply. We may earn a referral fee when a booking follows from one of those links — see the terms of use for how that works. A referral fee never changes what you pay and never affects how listings are ranked.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold no personal information you have given us, in most cases the honest answer will be that we have nothing on file. You are welcome to ask anyway.
Changes
When this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes — most likely the launch of email alerts — will be described here rather than made quietly.
