The DVC rental market, measured.
DVC Drop checks every confirmed-reservation listing at 3 vetted rental providers several times a day and records what appears, what sells, and how prices move. These are the numbers — measured, not estimated, and updated as the market moves.

What does renting DVC points cost?
Across the 169 live listings whose providers publish points, the median asking price is $24 per point, ranging from $15 to $29. Confirmed reservations are typically the cheapest way to rent points, because the member’s alternative is losing them.
How fast do confirmed stays sell?
Of the 1,304 listings that have left the board since tracking began, the median was gone in 4.5 days — and 24% disappeared within 24 hours of first appearing. Nine in ten were gone inside 33.1 days.
Do listing prices go up or down?
Down, almost without exception. We have recorded 97 price cuts against 29 increases, with the average cut at $260. Sellers are racing expiring points, so waiting can pay — until someone else books first.
How far ahead are stays available?
The median live listing checks in 189 days out — this is a planning market, not a last-minute one. Only 45 of 700 current listings check in within 30 days.
How these numbers are measured
DVC Drop’s crawler visits each provider’s public listings several times a day and records every listing’s first appearance, every price change, and the moment it disappears — an append-only history that these statistics summarise. “Sold” means a listing left a provider’s public inventory, whether booked or withdrawn. Figures update hourly and cover only what providers publish; private or phone-only inventory is invisible to us.
